A Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) is Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistics in Exercise Science has been earned and provides his educational background. PROFESSIONAL WORK HISTORY:
July 1992 -- May 2019: Pulaski County Schools. Developed a Computer Technology program at Pulaski County High School. The program provided numerous students with professional certification and technical skills which led to college and\career placement. Transferred to the district’s Central Office to work as the District Grant Writer. Wrote more than $2.5 million in competitive grants to develop a variety of programs. Developed and executed numerous technical projects related to school-wide networking and access to the Internet. Developed the Technology High Project which was a district-level program to enhance the use of technology by students, teachers, and members of the community.
Dec. 1987 -- July 1992: Camco Drilling Group. Began as Senior Marketing Analyst and promoted to Supervisor of Market Research and Analysis at this major manufacturer of oil and gas drilling equipment. Responsible for management of market research and analysis tasks. Duties included oversight of forecasting and budgeting in various sales regions and market analysis for various product lines in the domestic and international oil and gas drilling industry. Served as functional database manager for the company's sales and marketing departments. Developed spreadsheet models for prediction of drilling activity based on industry information. Developed a sales forecast and budgeting program for the company's international sales regions. Responsible for selection of computer hardware and software in the marketing and sales departments. Involved in training marketing and sales personnel in the use of computer systems.
Dec. 1986 -- Nov. 1987: University of Texas Health Science Center. Employed as a Senior Research Assistant in the Neurophysiology Research Center in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Duties included statistical analysis and experimental monitoring in a smoking cessation clinic.
Sept. 1986 -- Nov. 1986: Employed as a research assistant under the direction of Dr. James R. Morrow, Jr. of the University of Houston. Duties included computer programming, data entry, and microcomputer utilization consultation for a study of pulmonary function in U. S. Olympic athletes. The study was funded by the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Sept. 1984 -- Aug. 1986: University of Houston. Employed by the University of Houston in the department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation as a Teaching Fellow. Duties included teaching undergraduate classes and assisting professors in research activities. Also involved in full-time studies toward a Doctor of Education degree. Served as a graduate assistant for the University of Houston Track Team.
Jan. 1981 -- May 1984: Clear Creek Independent School District. Employed by the C.C.I.S.D. as a Teacher. A Classroom assignment was held in the Photography Department at Clear Lake High School. Also assisted with the Football, Cross-Country and Track Teams.

OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Designed, developed and procured technology and computers to establish the school's Technology Education program.
Implemented a computer network within the Pulaski County High School and trained a cadre of students to perform duties related to maintenance of the school’s network.
Received a grant from the Workforce Development Cabinet at the Kentucky Department of Education to establish a program to encourage enrollment of female students in Computer Technology classes. Results of the project showed a change in enrollment from 89% male – 11% female in 1994-95 to 44% male – 56% female in 1996-97.
Developed a Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) for students at Pulaski County High School which provided ways for them to be involved in the implementation of technology at the school.
Worked with and trained employees and students in the use of many PC-based software applications including: Microsoft Windows(3.1 and 95), Microsoft’s Office Suite (Word, Excel, FoxPro, and PowerPoint), WordPerfect, Harvard Graphics, Framework III, dBASE, Enable, PageMaker, CorelDraw, Animator Pro, Microsoft Mail, Microsoft Works, 3-D Studio and AutoCAD.
Consulted with the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association to implement a Cross Country and Track Meet management system.
Worked with Technology Committee to develop a statement of mission, and directed needs assessments for technology at PCHS. Also developed policy statements related to computers and technology use at PCHS.
Worked in school-based initiatives related to Tech Prep, School-To-Work, and “High Schools That Work” as a facilitator and coordinator to develop curriculum, form articulation agreements, develop a school “majors” program, and work on a proposal to implement an “occupational schools” model at Pulaski County High School.
Developed a budget and forecasting system for use in international regions in a large oil services company. Traveled to international regional offices to assist in implementation of the program. Monitored regional management in support of the system.
Developed a data base management system for use with the Reed Tool Company Rotary Rig Census. Managed data collection and entry into the systems and conducted statistical analysis. Results were published annually in industry trade journals
